Beta 181 is a very compact condenser microphone, with a small, lateral diaphragm, with interchangeable capsules for different polar characteristics. This allows discreet and versatile placement in small space conditions, in various applications.

Beta 181 can be used in a variety of applications including guitars, basses and drums (overhead and premier). Available are 4 different capsules (Cardioid, Supercardioid, Bidirectional, Omnidirectioinal), allowing their exchange depending on the applications.

RPM 181 / C - cardioid capsule - suitable for overhead, piano and acoustic instruments

RPM 181 / S - supercardioid capsule - suitable for prime, toms, acoustic instruments

RPM 181 / O - omnidirectional capsule - suitable for choir, orchestra and ambient recording

RPM 181 / BI - bidirectional capsule - mono overheads, or for recording two instruments simultaneously on one channel
